Adding a new Booking

From the Grooming Calendar Form

  1. Open the Grooming Calendar form if it is not already open.
  2. Click on the required day in the month view to view bookings already booked on that day.
  3. Click on a timeslot relevant to the required booking start time and groomer.
  4. Click on the New button in the Calendar ribbon OR right-click and choose New Booking from the menu, OR double click the cell.
  5. The Groom Booking form will appear and will be set to NEW mode. The “Date”, “Time”, and “Groomer” fields will already be set – these can be changed if you wish.
  6. Select the customer, and the “Pets” grid will be populated with the selected customer’s pets – tick the pets that the booking is for. You can search for a customer or add a new customer or pet using the buttons next to the “Customer” drop-down and “Pet” grid.
  7. A groom style enables you to record detailed instructions on how each pet should be trimmed and bathed. For each pet you can select an existing groom style or add a new one by clicking the Select button in the “Groom Style” column next to the pet.
  8. To make the booking recurring, tick the “Recurs” field. You can either choose a fixed time period that it will recur on (e.g. every 4 weeks) or a given day of a month (e.g. the 2nd Tuesday of each month). The future recurring bookings will be created once you save the booking.
  9. To select what services the pet will require, choose the service from the Service drop-down, change the rate if required, then move off the row in the Services grid to add it to the booking. You can add as many different services to the booking as you wish.
  10. Click OK to save the booking record. If you have configured PetLinx to send confirmations (see Messaging Center), a confirmation of the booking will be sent to the customer at this point.

In the Menu 

  1. Locate the customer/pet in the Customer/Pet List or search for the customer/pet. Once found, click to select it.
  2. Click the New Booking button at the top of the menu to load the Groom Booking form. Alternatively if you have the Grooming Calendar open, click and hold the mouse button down then drag and drop the customer or pet onto the date, time, and groomer you require.
  3. Follow the instructions in the “From the Grooming Calendar form” section above to complete entry of the booking.

From the Customer or Pet Flyout

  1. Locate the customer/pet in the Customer/Pet List or search for the customer/pet. Once found, double click or hit the ENTER key to open the customer or pet flyout. Click the Bookings tab.
  2. Click Actions – New or Actions – New Groom (if multiple modules are in use) to open the Groom Booking form.
  3. Follow the instructions in the “From the Grooming Calendar form” section above to complete entry of the booking.
